About all the mail I got during last week :)
Ok, so as my friend says, "I've been too lazy to write anything here :)" It's really about me!Maybe I'll start with the mail I wrote. So, this weekend was rather productive for me and I managed to write 2 letters - to Poland and Netherlands and I also promised to post them. Well, not yet :) hope to do it tomorrow! So, now I have 3 letters from Poland and one from Ukraine in my pile. Not so many! :)
As for the mail I got it's much to tell, really. On February, 11 I got a lovely card from my pen-friend Ksenia. She sent it from Malmo, a Swedish town, where she spent some hours before going to Iceland :)
The card is lovely, and I love multi-view cards. Don't know why, but many people hate getting these cards. I don't mind really!
This is the card I got:
The same day I got another card from my friend Onno. It is the picture of a Belgian artist James Ensor "The Sea Shells". I simply like cards with shells so knowing this he sends me such cards rather often.
Unfortunately, after 3 weeks of traveling I didn't get the letter from my friend Aneta. She included 2 cards and stamps as well, but I never got them. Maybe someone stole it? I wonder where all the lost mail goes? Anyway, I got the scan of the letter she posted by e-mail. We still hope that the letter finds its way to me.
And today I got another lovely letter from Ksenia, which travelled only 8 days and was sent from... Iceland.
She spent several lovely days in this magical country.
With the letter I got 3 beautiful cards: one showing Reykjavik, of course! and 2 more with Belgium (hope to visit some towns showed in the card in summer! :) and Luxembourg (curious how it will be with this country as well!).
Meanwhile, I got a lot of postcrossing cards! The week was really rich in countries: Russia, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, France and Germany. Only some of them...
This is a traditional Lithuanian dessert baked in a special oven for special events only. It is called "shakotis". I tasted it only once I think and it was in Poland. There it is called "sękacz" and it's very tasty!!!!!
Estonian card brought me back into summer!
I think this card with trains we'll be admitted by one of my friends, who loves traveling so much! ;)
But the best card of the week was my 1st card ever from Tunisia. It made my day, or even my week!
I like it so much!
OK, so my blog will be continued... hope to write something this week, and thanks to my friend who keeps me motivated ;)
